White Flour Release Party!

I've just completed my first children's book and I hope you can come and celebrate with me.

The book is titled "White Flour" and it's a story about fighting hatred with humor. In Seussian rhyme, it tells the funny and inspiring story of the day that the Ku Klux Klan met the Coup Clutz Clowns, who offered a whimsical and wise retort to their racist rally. The poem that provides the text for the book was inspired by true events in Knoxville, TN in 2007. You may have heard the author, David LaMotte speaking about it on the State of Things or on the evening news.

We'll be having a book release party at Blake St Studios (300 Blake St Raleigh, NC) this Friday (June 8th) from 6pm to 9pm. We'll have snacks, punch, and face-painting. You'll have a chance to see the original paintings that went into the book, David will perform the poem, and the author and I will be signing copies.

I hope you can make it.
